Scrummy and Spicy Scrambled Eggs...

Hey again. One thing you might not know about moi is that i absolutely LOVE to cook. I've always been interested in food. Predominantly because I love eating it... I really love to spend my time and money and energy on good tasty food. I enjoy it, whether cooking, experimenting, eating, reading about it, and just looking at it! ha. i'm surprised im not fatter than i am now... However, the thing I love to do most is baking. mmmmm. In this bloglet, I hope to show you some of my best bakes and recipes and share with you the top tips, successes, and the epic failures when creating yummy food. You might possibly have seen some other little recipes which i have enjoyed and want to share...So, without further ado, this is my yummy scrambled egg.... it was soooo good! My Scrap Diary

So basically, I have been thinking. I am just finishing my AS' at the moment, (last one tomorrow! ahhh) and I have finished my art course so I needed something to create and some form of arty thing to so, so I found an old sketch book at school and i decided to fill it up, doing a page a day (about that-not to a strict regime)... Anyway, I have just printed images that I like and photographs that I've taken and other bits and bobs that I've found and just stuck them in in the form of collage... It's very fun. I fully recommend it! Anyway, here's a few of the pages so far... Tell me what you think and do comment if you've tried it or have any questions...

Heavenly Rocky Road...

This is my mother's favourite thing that I've ever made. And probably one of my faves. This should come with a warning... it's delicious....

Melt about 300g of good dark chocolate in a medium sized pan, broken up into squares. Add about 125g of soft (preferably unsalted) butter. And 3 beautiful tablespoons of golden syrup. And whilst this is melting in the pan... it's time to make the biscuity bits.... It couldn't be more easy.... Bung about 200g of Digestive biscuits into a plastic bag and whack with a rolling pin. A perfect excuse to hit something... I have used rich tea and chocolate chip cookies instead, which both work absolutely fine. (I also added a couple of these "Cheweee" bars as well which were soooo good.) Now ideally you want some crumbs but also mostly broken-up biscuit (rocks). Now remove about two ladles-full of the melted chocolate in the pan and set aside for in a bit. Then add the crunchy biscuit bits into the pan along with a couple of handfuls of mini marshmallows (roughly 100g).
Then stir it all in and mix it up so it's all covered in the chocolate.... Put this chocolatey mixture onto a greaseproof papered  tin (8 or 9 inch wide). Flatten this mixture evenly around the tin and then lastly pour the chocolate that you reserved earlier all over the rocks of biscuit and marshmallows and even out with a spatula.

The good thing about this is there's NO OVEN baking and therefore, no burning hazard :) .... just leave in the fridge for two hours (or overnight) and cut into squares.... you decide what size you'd prefer them to be :)

Later, dust with icing sugar and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

HEAVEN.

Cosy Evening Mexican Hot Chocolate

Now, this hot choc is one of my favourite things to make. So, naturally, i make it all the time. My sister once said; if I died, it would be the one thing she would miss most.... SO, I think that you should be a part of this beautifully decadent secret...

To make a large mug , (or two small cups full)...

Please don't worry too much about getting the exact amount of ingredient. ;)
First if all... Add a large cup of full fat milk into a saucepan. Then turn on the stove. :) Then add a drop of vanilla essence, snap in a cinnamon stick. Ooze in some runny golden honey (about 1 tbspn full). Sprinkle in some soft light-brown sugar and add a pinch of nutmeg. Pour in a bit of cream (oh and feel free to exaggerate, you can't ever go wrong with too much cream.) Add in a a dried chilli and about 75g best-quality dark chocolate, or alternatively bung in some chilli chocolate (Lindt do a very good one). Make sure that the chocolate doesn't stick tot he bottom and burn... and after about one minute, remove the cinnamon from the pan and it should be ready to drink :)

Please tell me what you think, whether or not you've tried it yet...

Peace Out.

Victoria Art Gallery 2009

Recently, I had a piece of art in an exhibition in Bath, at the Victoria Art Gallery. It was a large piece of work which was inspired by the RA artist, Tony Cragg. The piece was created by me for my GCSE final piece, with the brief of "Interior and Colour". Here it is on a clipping from an article in the local Chronicle, below... Please comment and let me know what you think...
"The inspiration for this piece predominantly grew from analysis of Tony Cragg's work. The piece here is made up of household objects... I went round my house, various charity shops, my sister's bedroom and picked up a few things. Of course, everything had to be of primary colours, like Cragg's pieces."
